Below, we will explain how to fix SEB problems that occur in connection with antivirus programs, using Norton Antivirus as an example.

Camera access is blocked

By default, Norton analyzes the certificate information of programs to determine which programs are allowed or blocked to access your webcam. To allow the Safe Exam Browser access to your camera, follow these steps:

1. Open your Norton device security product.

2. If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

3. In the Norton product main window, click Settings.

4. In the Settings window, click SafeCam.

5. In the SafeCam settings window, click the Access tab.

6. Navigate to the Safe Exam Browser.

7. In the Access drop-down list, select Allow.

8. Click Apply, and then click Close.

Internet access is blocked

By default, Smart Firewall blocks certain programs from accessing the Internet. To allow access to the internet in the Safe Exam Browser, follow these steps:

1. Open your Norton device security product.

2. If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

3. In the Norton product main window, click Settings.

4. In the Settings window, click Firewall.

5. On the Program Control tab, select the Safe Exam Browser.

6. In the Access drop-down list, click Allow.

7. Click Apply.
